Taylor’s journey on Earth has been deeply intertwined with creativity, education, and the joy of nurturing young minds. For as long as they can remember, Taylor has been immersed in early childhood education and therapeutic practices through the arts.
Taylor earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities (Health and Wellness) from the State University of New York at Oneonta, nestled in the Catskill Mountains. Continuing their education with a focus on whole-food nutrition, Taylor stays current through coursework with The American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the Food Revolution Network, and has also earned a Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from eCornell University.
During their undergraduate years, Taylor was fortunate to meet an eccentric, creative lifelong friend who sparked a deep love for sewing. Inspired by this friendship—and by other talented mentors, including their hardworking mother and aunts—Taylor learned to design clothing and share their passion through wearable art, discovering a profound sense of fulfillment and purpose along the way.
For over 15 years, Taylor has been dedicated to helping youth discover this same sense of fulfillment, creating countless hands-on art experiences for diverse audiences. Their work has spanned private lessons, classrooms, intimate gatherings, and large-scale events.
Taylor’s teaching experience is broad and deeply rooted in practice. It includes professional costume tailoring in renowned East Coast theaters (where teaching was woven into every design), full-time teaching at a lakeside daycare just north of Denver, Colorado, and bringing therapeutic art programs into behavioral classrooms across the Denver Metro area. Through sensory-safe sewing, music, theater, and nature-based crafts, Taylor has empowered neurodiverse youth in public school settings. Taylor has also served as a lead teacher at a forest school and as a substitute teacher in both Montessori and Waldorf schools.
These experiences led to the creation of Taylor’s first passion project, Rainbow Lightning—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to empower self-expression through music, art, and nature. Rainbow Lightning builds safe, interactive pop-up art spaces for children of all ages at events. For over a decade, this offering has impacted thousands of youth and families across the Americas through vibrant workshops that blend the best of multiple teaching styles, remaining innovative, nature-based, and sensory-centric.
Taylor remains a lifelong learner, growing with an open mind and heart, guided by the lessons of children—who have truly paved this path.
Most recently, Taylor served as Director of Programming at an organization creating opportunities for adults with special needs (www.commbasedservices.org), building the offerings at www.HudsonValleyInterArts.org from the ground up. Taylor continues to consult and remains a steadfast supporter of the organization’s ongoing success.
Today, Taylor is over-the-moon excited to begin the journey of InspireRoots in Taos, New Mexico—a place they call home—as the culmination of everything they have learned. InspireRoots is envisioned as a nurturing space where the strengths of many modalities come together.
Taylor’s goal with InspireRoots is to empower learners through self-directed, arts-centric experiences rooted in nature and community. Guided by the rhythms of the seasons and the wisdom of the land, the space is designed to support children of all abilities as they explore, express, and grow at their own pace.
As a mother of three boys, Taylor is driven to give her children—and all children—the same unwavering support her family once gave her, celebrating each child’s unique spark. Her vision for InspireRoots is to create a welcoming environment where children gain the confidence to step into the world knowing they can make a positive impact through every action. From sewing stitches to rooting dreams, Taylor is deeply committed to the success of the next generation—and is thrilled to weave, create, and grow together. 🌿🎨✨
Treaphort brings over a decade of experience in movement education and a lifelong passion for mindful exploration through the body and sound. A former competitive gymnast turned dedicated teacher, Rob discovered his calling in guiding young children — especially ages 2.5 to 5 — as they develop body awareness, coordination, and confidence through playful movement.
His approach integrates the foundations of gymnastics with elements of yoga, free-form dance, and breathwork, creating a nurturing space for self-directed learning and discovery. Rob believes that movement is one of our first languages — a way for children to connect with themselves and the world around them long before words take shape.
In addition to movement, Rob loves using self-created sounds, vowels, and overtones as tools for nonverbal connection and sensory exploration. His classes invite curiosity, mindfulness, and creativity, supporting each child’s natural rhythm of learning and growth.
