As a founding member of Axis Mundi Global, J has realized a life goal of activating and envisioning a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and inviting the human race to embrace its sovereign ability to steward a holistic expression of personal and planetary health. J has a diverse background in a variety of emotional, mental, energetic, and physical health supportive practices.

As a youth, J was trained in the Suzuki Method and played the violin and viola in multiple classical and contemporary ensembles. As a member of the Model U.N. and the Boy Scouts—where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with a Bronze Palm—J recognized, within himself, a natural leadership potential with skills in oration and the innate charisma to inspire others. These profound revelations in responsibility skills fostered the development of strong ethics and a finely woven moral fiber.

As a graduate of Colorado College, where he studied physics and math, J has a worldview built from both rational-scientific, and esoteric wisdom. As a sophomore, he was introduced to an inspiring geology professor, Dr. Jeff Noblett, through whom he began to work with energy and was attuned to the first and second levels of Reiki transmission.

After college, J dedicated himself to a decade of work in the culinary industry, eschewing material pursuits and focusing on his passion for feeding people and food artistry. During these years, he was also introduced to the Bikram style hot yoga practice. After completing an intensive training to guide the practice, his skills in offering natural health solutions deepened. Always passionate about natural medicines and plant allies, his career shifted with the recognition of medical cannabis in Colorado.

Combining his passions and skills within the culinary arts, he transitioned to a medicated confectionery company and began to work in the professional cannabis industry in December 2011. Over the next decade, J held a variety of roles in the cultivation, preparation, and extraction of cannabinoids as medicine for people and planet.

Over the course of the twenty-teens J began to be deeply involved in the production of transformational music and wellness festivals eventually becoming a pivotal member and leader in the StarWater Collective and their productions at Arise and Sonic Bloom. Through this journey he met R. Anthony Steadman and founded Mountain Mud Sunscreen, an all natural CBD-infused sunscreen. A dream product for J and Anthony that allowed for a deep relationship to form that evolved into this collaboration in Costa Rica. The product offering was turned off once in-person gathering became a challenge in 2020.

With the changes across the globe that came with 2020, another career shift seemed appropriate. Leaning into the skills gained over the years, J dedicated himself to his role as a natural leader and began guiding yoga practice. Through this reconnection with service to humanity J deepened his attunement and energy transmission skills; he completed Reiki Level III training and expanded his physical healing techniques to include Craniosacral & Myofascial release techniques, as well as structural and alignments made possible through assisted stretching with using physical touch.

While pursuing his passions for health and wellness J met René at a community networking event and the two of them came to realize they had overlapping worldviews and dreams for the future of humanity. They soon founded a food and farming initiative called Opu Nui Farms. The name inspired by René’s ancestral language from Hawaii loosely translated as “Fat Belly” Farms. An homage to the caricature of the well rounded and wise Buddha of the eastern wisdom traditions. As J and René continued to collaborate a deep bond was formed and thus the initial founders of Axis Mundi Global Inc. became aligned.

With the opening of new possibilities within Colorado’s legal framework for natural medicine, J became recognized and licensed by DORA to facilitate natural medicine experiences and administer psilocybin in 2025. By blending his physical, energetic, and neuromuscular modalities, J aims to assist in the transformation of human consciousness, aligning with our universal purpose as stewards and high functioning crew members of this beautiful spaceship Earth.
